Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Prepare, review, and manage comprehensive tender documents, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, company policies, and statutory regulations.</li><li>Conduct thorough cost estimations and detailed financial analysis for diverse construction projects, identifying potential savings, value engineering opportunities, and associated risks.</li><li>Lead contract negotiations with sub-contractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure optimal terms and conditions, ensuring best value and performance.</li><li>Monitor and control project budgets rigorously, tracking expenditures, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions to ensure adherence to financial targets.</li><li>Administer all aspects of construction contracts, including processing claims, managing variations, progress payments, and final accounts.</li><li>Liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, legal counsel, and clients to ensure seamless contract execution and timely project delivery.</li><li>Provide expert advice on contractual matters, interpret contract clauses, and efficiently resolve any contractual disputes or issues.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all contractual correspondence, documents, and key project data.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.</li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of proven, hands-on experience in tender management, cost estimation, and contract administration, specifically within the construction industry.</li><li>Strong understanding of Malaysian construction laws, regulations, standard contract forms (e.g., PAM Contract), and industry best practices.</li><li>Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.</li><li>Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ideally some experience with project management or quantity surveying software.</li><li>Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, project-driven team environment.</li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>High level of integrity, professional ethics, and commitment to meeting deadlines.</li></ul>
