Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Control Tower team, ensuring 24/7 real-time visibility and proactive management of global shipments across multiple transportation modes (Air, Ocean, Land).
- Oversee daily exception management, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective action plans to minimize disruptions and optimize service levels.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical supply chain incidents, coordinating cross-functional recovery strategies.
- Leverage advanced supply chain visibility platforms to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and generate actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal operations teams to ensure seamless logistics execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency gains, and process standardization.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and performance scorecards to ensure consistency and high standards.
- Prepare and present detailed operational reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role within a Control Tower, 4PL, or complex supply chain environment.
- Deep understanding of global trade, freight forwarding, and multi-modal transportation operations.
- Hands-on experience with TMS/WMS systems and supply chain visibility tools (e.g., Project44, FourKites, Blume Global, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence and drive collaboration across diverse teams.
- Proven track record of managing complex operational issues and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia, is a distinct advantage.
