Job Description

WNS (Holdings) Limited, a global business process management (BPM) leader, is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Legal Manager to join our dynamic team in Quezon City. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for managing all legal aspects related to PEZA (Philippine Economic Zone Authority) compliance, visa and immigration processing for foreign nationals, and other corporate regulatory matters. You will provide strategic legal advice to management, ensuring that our operations are fully compliant with Philippine laws and regulations.

Your role will include overseeing documentation for PEZA registrations and incentives, handling visa applications and renewals, managing compliance with data privacy laws (such as RA 10173), and reviewing contracts and agreements. You will also coordinate with external legal counsel as needed and provide training to staff on compliance issues. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of corporate legal frameworks in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage PEZA registration, compliance reporting, and incentive applications.
  • Handle visa and work permit processing for expatriate employees, including applications, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements related to corporate operations and labor laws.
  • Provide legal advice and support to various departments on contracts, agreements, and corporate governance.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and external legal counsel on compliance and litigation matters.
  • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure best practices.
  • Conduct internal training on compliance updates and legal obligations.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the Philippine Bar (Bar passer) preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate legal management, with focus on PEZA and visa processing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PEZA regulations, immigration laws, and Philippine corporate law.
  • Proven track record in managing visa applications and compliance audits.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
