Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and counsel to internal stakeholders on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Represent the company in litigation proceedings, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes
- Ensure compliance with Singapore laws, regulations, and industry standards across all business operations
- Conduct legal risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential liabilities
- Collaborate with external law firms and manage relationships with external counsel
- Advise on corporate governance matters, including board resolutions and shareholder issues
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and regulatory requirements affecting the company's operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university; admission to the Singapore Bar is highly preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, in-house counsel, or litigation defence
- Strong knowledge of Singapore legal principles, civil procedure, and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in contract law, corporate governance, and dispute resolution
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Professional conduct with high ethical standards and confidentiality awareness
- Experience in the recruitment, professional services, or corporate sectors is an added advantage
