Join our client, a leading healthcare facility in Singapore, as a CSSD Technician (Surgery Instrument) and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and success of surgical procedures. The Central Sterile Supplies Department (CSSD) is the backbone of hospital operations, responsible for decontaminating, sterilizing, and distributing medical equipment and surgical instruments.
In this position, you will be responsible for the meticulous handling and processing of surgical instruments from receipt through sterilization to storage. You will work closely with operating room teams to ensure that all instruments are properly prepared, sterile, and available when needed. Your expertise in sterilization techniques and infection control protocols will directly contribute to patient safety and positive surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols
- Perform thorough inspection of instruments for functionality and damage prior to sterilization
- Prepare and assemble surgical instrument sets and sterile supply packs to specification
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, quality control tests, and inventory
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with operating room staff to ensure timely availability of required instruments
- Participate in department quality improvement initiatives and staff training
Qualifications
- Minimum secondary school education or equivalent; higher qualifications preferred
- Prior experience in Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) or sterile processing environment is advantageous
- Certification in sterile processing or related healthcare qualification is a plus
- Strong knowledge of sterilization methods, infection control, and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Physically fit to stand for extended periods and lift heavy instrument sets
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
