  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and remediate risks.
  • Monitor security events and incident responses, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry regulations (e.g., MAS TRM, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
  • Manage and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis, forensics, and containment strategies.
  • Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees on best practices and emerging threats.
  • Stay current with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques; recommend proactive improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, preferably in banking, finance, or insurance.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks (MAS, PDPA, ISO 27001) and risk management principles.
