Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of data center infrastructure projects from initiation through to final handover.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (design, engineering, operations, procurement) to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.
- Manage vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring to ensure quality, compliance, and on‑time delivery.
- Conduct site inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance reviews to verify adherence to design standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in managing data center or mission‑critical infrastructure projects with budgets exceeding RM5 million.
- Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent is highly regarded.
- In‑depth knowledge of data center design principles, power distribution, cooling technologies, and tier classification standards (e.g., TIA‑942).
- Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera) and CAD software (AutoCAD) for design review.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities, with a focus on risk management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams.
