Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, storage systems, and networking equipment in the data center environment
  • Monitor data center infrastructure including power systems, cooling systems, and network connectivity to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware failures, network issues, and system performance problems in a timely manner
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on all data center equipment and document all maintenance activities accurately
  • Respond to data center alerts and incidents, implementing appropriate corrective actions and escalation procedures as needed
  • Support infrastructure deployment projects including server installations, cable management, and equipment migrations
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data center configurations, procedures, and incident reports
  • Coordinate with vendors and external contractors for equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data center operations, technical support, or IT infrastructure roles
  • Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems with strong command-line troubleshooting skills
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configurations
  • Experience with server hardware, storage systems, and virtualization technologies is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment and respond to on-call emergencies when required
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 20kg), work in confined spaces, and tolerate data center environmental conditions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
