In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the Debt Management Programme (DMP), serving as a crucial point of contact for clients navigating their path to financial recovery.
As a Debt Servicing & Support Officer, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of our clients' accounts. You will be responsible for guiding new clients through the on-boarding process, ensuring all documentation is accurate, and providing ongoing support throughout their repayment journey. This position is ideal for someone who possesses strong empathy, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain composure in sensitive financial conversations. Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end life cycle of clients enrolled in the Debt Management Programme (DMP).
- Facilitate the smooth on-boarding of new clients, ensuring all account details and financial data are accurately captured.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing professional guidance and emotional support regarding their repayment plans.
- Monitor repayment schedules and proactively address issues or variances to ensure compliance with programme terms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and creditors to resolve payment disputes and administrative discrepancies.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential records of all client interactions and account activities in the CRM system.
- Provide regular progress updates to management regarding client portfolio performance and potential risk areas.
- Participate in team meetings to share best practices for improving client service standards and programme efficiency.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in customer service, debt collection, or financial administration.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Highly organized with the capability to manage a large portfolio of client accounts simultaneously.
- Strong analytical mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a social services or non-profit financial sector will be considered a significant advantage.
