Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, locating products, and assisting with over-the-counter (OTC) purchases.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking shelves, checking expiry dates, and maintaining proper storage conditions.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash transactions, and process payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy premises, including retail areas, consultation rooms, and dispensing zones.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and answering phone calls.
- Assist in preparing medication labels and organizing patient files under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Educate customers on proper medication usage and provide basic health advice for common ailments.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM/STPM qualification or equivalent; a Diploma in Pharmacy Studies or a related field is a strong advantage.
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in a pharmacy, retail, or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and empathetic approach to customer interactions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling medications and patient information.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with POS systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to varying workloads.
- Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English; proficiency in local dialects is a bonus.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
