Responsibilities
- Assist dental surgeons during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canals.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with strict infection control protocols.
- Provide clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
- Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and handle general administrative duties at the reception counter.
- Take and process dental X-rays as required, ensuring patient safety and diagnostic quality.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new stock as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Qualifications
- Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent; a Certificate in Dental Assisting or equivalent is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred, fresh graduates with relevant certifications are welcome to apply.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and dental software is a plus.
