Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) strategies aligned with global and local regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advisory to institutional clients on complex AML, KYC, and sanctions-related inquiries.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of compliance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Oversee the design and implementation of robust compliance frameworks, policies, and internal controls.
- Manage key regulatory relationships and act as the primary point of contact for external audits and inquiries.
- Drive the integration of RegTech and digital transformation initiatives to enhance the efficiency of compliance operations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate emerging financial crime risks through proactive horizon scanning and impact analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance, preferably within top-tier advisory firms or multinational banking institutions.
- In-depth knowledge of MAS regulatory requirements and global standards (FATF, Wolfsberg, etc.).
- Proven track record in leadership and the ability to drive change in complex organizational environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence C-suite level executives.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of professional integrity.
- Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
