Job Description

Micron Technology is seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Director, Global Facilities & Construction, South Asia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the strategic planning, design, and execution of complex construction projects within the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. We are looking for an expert in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) to drive our facility expansion initiatives. You will be responsible for managing large-scale capital projects, ensuring alignment with Micron's global standards, and fostering strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders. This position requires a dynamic leader who can navigate the complexities of large infrastructure projects while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end construction project lifecycle from conceptualization through final handover.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed budgets, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and quality standards across all sites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate facility operations seamlessly with construction schedules.
  • Manage relationships with external EPCM firms, vendors, and government authorities to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project performance against key metrics and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Drive innovation in construction methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce overall project costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in construction project management, specifically within EPCM models.
  • Proven track record of managing capital projects in the semiconductor, manufacturing, or high-tech industries.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams and external contractors in a multicultural environment.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of local building codes, regulatory compliance, and construction best practices.
