Our client, a multinational engineering and construction firm, is seeking a detail‑oriented Electrical QC Engineer to join their team in Tuas, West Region. In this role, you will oversee quality control activities for electrical installations across a range of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, local codes, and international standards.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to conduct inspections, test electrical systems, and maintain thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and testing of electrical installations, wiring, switchboards, and control systems on site.
- Review and enforce compliance with electrical codes, ISO 9001, and client‑specific quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain QC documentation including inspection reports, non‑conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to resolve quality‑related issues and ensure timely corrective measures.
- Support the development of quality procedures, work instructions, and best‑practice guidelines for electrical works.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits as required.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians on quality control practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in electrical quality control within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in reading electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications (AutoCAD, Revit is a plus).
- Working knowledge of Singapore’s Electrical Code, IEC standards, and ISO 9001.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Certification in Quality Control (e.g., CQI/IRCA) is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
