We are looking for a proactive individual to ensure the stability and reliability of our core shipping systems.
In this role, you will be the face of our technical support team, handling 1st level support for all OOCL shipping-related systems. You will manage a demanding rotational schedule involving three distinct shifts, ensuring that our operations run seamlessly regardless of the time of day. Your ability to troubleshoot complex software issues, document technical solutions, and communicate effectively with users will be vital to our success. Responsibilities
- Provide 1st level technical support for all OOCL shipping-related systems and applications.
- Manage rotational duties across three different shifts (Day, Swing, and Graveyard) to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported application issues efficiently and accurately.
- Escalate complex technical problems to 2nd and 3rd level support teams while providing updates to users.
- Document technical procedures, incident reports, and support logs in the ticketing system.
- Monitor system health and perform routine checks to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in IT support, application support, or help desk roles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems, database concepts, and basic networking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse users.
- Willingness to work on rotational shifts, including nights and holidays.
- Familiarity with shipping or logistics industry systems is a significant advantage.
