Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise during the sales cycle, including product demonstrations, proof-of-concept builds, and technical deep dives
  • Partner with enterprise account executives to develop and execute account strategies that drive revenue growth
  • Architect and present tailored solutions that address customer business and technical requirements
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires with accuracy and speed
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer pain points and align Datadog's capabilities
  • Stay current on product developments, competitive landscape, and industry trends
  • Collaborate with product management to relay customer feedback and influence product roadmap
  • Represent Datadog at industry events, webinars, and customer briefings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales or sales engineering role, preferably in cloud/SaaS environments
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Deep understanding of observability, monitoring, and DevOps concepts
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex technical sales cycles and influence key stakeholders
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and APIs is a plus
  • Willingness to travel within the APAC region as needed (up to 25%)
