Job Description

Komatsu East Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a leading authorized machinery dealer for Komatsu, Bomag and LS in East Malaysia. We are seeking an energetic Equipment Sales Officer to drive new business, nurture existing accounts, and deliver superior service to contractors, rental companies and government projects in Sibu and the broader Sarawak region.

As an Equipment Sales Officer, you will combine product knowledge with a consultative sales approach to recommend the right heavy equipment solutions for construction, mining, and material handling applications. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate quotes, on-time delivery, installation support, and thorough after-sales service. Your insights into customer needs will help shape our pricing, campaigns and product offerings, contributing to the continued growth of our Komatsu dealership network.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the end-to-end sales process for Komatsu equipment in Sibu and surrounding areas.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities with contractors, mining operators, rental companies and government agencies.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes and terms; negotiate contracts to close profitable deals.
  • Coordinate with service, parts and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, installation and training support.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecast sales, and report on key performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, delivering exceptional post-sales service and parts guidance.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing to inform strategy and maximize revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • Proven sales experience in heavy equipment or industrial machinery is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Komatsu, Bomag and LS product lines is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel within Sarawak and neighboring regions as required.
  • Customer-oriented with problem-solving mindset and a passion for service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CRM software; data-driven approach.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
