Job Description
Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK) is seeking an experienced Estate Supervisor to oversee the operations of our oil palm estate located in Karak, Pahang. In this pivotal role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient plantation management, optimal crop yield, and adherence to sustainable agricultural practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of oil palm agronomy, and a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily estate operations including land preparation, planting, fertilization, irrigation, and harvesting activities.
- Monitor crop health and implement integrated pest and disease management strategies to maximize yield and quality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards (e.g., RSPO, MSPO).
- Manage estate workforce, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and employee welfare.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of agricultural inputs, production outputs, and financial expenditures for reporting and budgeting purposes.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and government agencies to secure resources and resolve operational issues.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and promote sustainable practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Plantation Management, Agronomy, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in oil palm or comparable plantation operations.
- In-depth knowledge of oil palm cultivation techniques, soil management, and best agricultural practices.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a remote or rural setting.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data collection, record-keeping, and basic farm management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Valid driving license and willingness to reside on or near the estate premises.
