Kwantas Corporation Berhad is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Estate Manager to lead our oil palm plantation operations in Lahad Datu, Sabah. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual estate budgets, production plans, and operational strategies to maximize fresh fruit bunch (FFB) yields.
- Oversee daily plantation operations including land preparation, planting, upkeep, and harvesting activities.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of field staff, ensuring operational alignment and high levels of productivity.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant Malaysian plantation regulations, sustainability standards, and environmental health and safety protocols.
- Monitor and analyze field data to identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Manage estate assets, equipment maintenance, and logistics to ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
- Maintain strong community and government relations to ensure the smooth operation of estate activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Plantation Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in oil palm plantation management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of oil palm agronomy, soil management, and pest/disease control techniques.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to manage large workforces.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding production targets in a commercial plantation environment.
- Proficiency in plantation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to be based in Lahad Datu, Sabah.
