Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for Design & Build and Experiential projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent documents to identify project scope, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing while ensuring adherence to strict project specifications and timelines.
- Collaborate closely with the design and production teams to align budgetary constraints with creative, "Gold Standard" objectives.
- Manage bid submissions, tender documentation, and contract administration throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Conduct cost analysis, feasibility studies, and variance reporting to track project financial performance against initial estimates.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of unit rates, material costs, and labor productivity benchmarks specific to the experiential construction sector.
- Provide strategic recommendations to project stakeholders to maximize value and profitability without compromising design quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the Design & Build, events, fit-out, or experiential construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar).
- Deep understanding of construction methodologies, material costs, and labor rates in the Philippine market.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple bids simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
