Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy excavators for earthmoving, trenching, and grading tasks.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow site plans, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors to achieve precise excavation depths and alignments.
- Liaise with site engineers and ground crews to coordinate movements and ensure site safety.
- Adhere to all Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations and company-specific safety protocols.
- Monitor machine gauges and controls to detect malfunctions and report issues immediately to the maintenance team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring equipment is stored correctly after shifts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Excavator Operator, preferably within large-scale civil engineering or road projects.
- Possess a valid heavy machinery operator license (Sijil Kecekapan Kemahiran) and a valid CIDB Green Card.
- Strong understanding of machine mechanics and the ability to perform basic field repairs.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, site layouts, and grade stakes.
- High level of physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor construction environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to team safety and project deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when required by the project schedule.
