We are currently seeking a highly motivated and disciplined Executive, HR (Insourcing & ERIR) to join our human resources team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. Reporting directly to the Senior Executive, HR, you will be responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring that our labor practices remain compliant with local regulations. You will serve as a bridge between management and employees, handling complex industrial relations issues with professionalism and tact. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing our workforce transitions and enhancing employee engagement through proactive communication and fair policy implementation. Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate end-to-end insourcing activities, ensuring seamless integration of personnel into the organization.
  • Handle Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) matters, including grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and domestic inquiries.
  • Ensure strict compliance with the Malaysia Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and other relevant labor legislation.
  • Provide advisory support to department heads on labor practices, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement programs to promote a high-performance culture and improve retention.
  • Liaise with government agencies and labor authorities (JTK, JPP) regarding workforce compliance and audits.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and prepare monthly reports on ER/IR trends and insourcing metrics.
  • Assist in the review and enhancement of HR policies and procedures to align with corporate objectives.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in HR, specifically focusing on Industrial Relations or Employee Relations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian Labor Laws and Industrial Relations practices.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or MNC environment is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to resolve complex workplace issues independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
