Responsibilities
- Perform rigorous physical inspection and grading of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) according to MPOB (Malaysian Palm Oil Board) and company standards.
- Identify and categorize fruit quality, including ripe, under-ripe, over-ripe, empty bunches, and long stalks.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of grading results for every batch received at the mill.
- Collaborate closely with weighbridge operators and mill supervisors to ensure smooth logistics and processing.
- Provide constructive feedback to suppliers and transporters regarding fruit quality and non-compliance issues.
- Monitor the unloading process to ensure fruit is handled correctly and minimize damage.
- Adhere to all Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) guidelines within the mill premises.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent; a vocational certificate in Agriculture is an advantage.
- Possession of a valid MPOB Grader Certificate is highly preferred.
- Previous experience working in a palm oil mill or plantation environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in an outdoor, industrial mill environment.
- Strong observational skills with high attention to detail.
- Basic numeracy skills for data recording and percentage calculations.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English proficiency is a plus.
- A disciplined individual with a strong sense of integrity and work ethics.
