Responsibilities
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP FICO modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Controlling (CO).
- Gather and analyze business requirements from finance stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications and system configurations.
- Lead end-to-end implementation, testing, and deployment of SAP FICO enhancements, upgrades, and new rollouts.
- Provide Level 3 support for complex SAP FICO incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, configuration guides, and user manuals.
- Conduct user training sessions and create training materials to ensure adoption of new system features.
- Collaborate with SAP Basis, ABAP, and other functional teams to integrate FI/CO with modules like MM, SD, and HR.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to optimize financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration and support, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial processes, including month-end close, budgeting, and consolidation.
- Proven experience as an SME in at least two full-cycle SAP implementations or major upgrade projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to interact with business users and IT teams.
- SAP certification in FICO (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Fiori applications is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced, agile environment.
