Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to enhance overall golf operations and member satisfaction.
- Oversee daily golf course activities, including tee sheet management, pace-of-play enforcement, and guest services.
- Manage, train, and mentor the golf operations team, including caddie masters, starters, and pro shop staff.
- Plan and coordinate high-profile tournaments, corporate outings, and club-sponsored events.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, club policies, and environmental standards for the course.
- Manage the golf department budget, including inventory control, labor costs, and revenue generation.
- Collaborate with the board of directors and other department heads to maintain the club's reputation and financial health.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive management experience within a private golf club or high-end resort setting.
- Strong understanding of golf rules, tournament administration, and USGA/club handicapping systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with members and guests professionally.
- Proven track record in fiscal management and departmental leadership.
- Proficiency in golf management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required by club operations.
