Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on trading, real estate, and construction transactions and projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including joint ventures, procurement, and service agreements.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including corporate governance, anti‑money laundering, and industry‑specific statutes.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
- Advise senior management on risk mitigation strategies and legal implications of business decisions.
- Oversee corporate secretarial functions, board meetings, and statutory filings.
- Conduct legal training and workshops for internal stakeholders to enhance legal awareness.
- Monitor legislative developments and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
Qualifications
- LLB degree from a recognized university; LLM or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of post‑qualification experience in legal practice, with focus on trading, real estate, or construction law.
- Admitted to practice law in Singapore; foreign qualifications with relevant experience considered.
- Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore corporate law, securities regulations, and construction industry legislation.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
