Siemens Energy is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Finance to lead the financial operations for our Grid Technologies Substations division across the Asia Pacific and China region. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of finance heads across Asia Pacific and China, fostering professional development and strategic alignment
- Oversee all financial operations including planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis for the Grid Technologies Substations division
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with regional business objectives and corporate goals
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls across all operating entities
- Partner with regional and global leadership to drive business growth, cost optimization, and operational efficiency
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while implementing robust governance frameworks
- Lead financial due diligence and evaluation of strategic investments, partnerships, and project opportunities
- Coordinate with global finance teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA qualification preferred
- Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience with at least 7 years in senior leadership roles within the Asia Pacific region
- Proven track record managing finance operations across multiple countries in Asia Pacific or China
- Deep expertise in the energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors; experience with grid technologies or power systems highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at all levels
- Experience with multinational corporations and complex matrix organizational structures
- Advanced proficiency in financial planning systems, ERP platforms, and sophisticated Excel modeling techniques
