Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Review medication orders for clinical appropriateness, potential drug interactions, and dosage accuracy.
- Maintain precise inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, ensuring no stockouts of critical items.
- Provide expert medication counseling to patients and healthcare staff regarding usage, side effects, and storage.
- Ensure compliance with all local healthcare regulations, pharmacy laws, and hospital safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary medical team to monitor patient progress and adjust drug therapies as needed.
- Document all pharmaceutical interventions and medication records in the facility's information system.
- Participate in regular audits to ensure hospital pharmacy standards are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Must hold a valid, active license from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of pharmaceutical formulas, drug dosages, and chemical compounds.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Proficiency in computer-based pharmacy management systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking capabilities.
