Job Description
Are you passionate about high‑performance computing (HPC) and engineering simulation? Join the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) as an HPC Domain Specialist (Engineering, CFD) on the Frontier team at the National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore. In this role you will be the technical lead for cutting‑edge CFD projects, leveraging the power of Singapore’s most powerful supercomputers to drive innovation in aerospace, automotive, energy, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, design scalable HPC workflows, and optimize CFD solvers to achieve breakthrough performance. Your expertise will shape the future of engineering simulation in Singapore, supporting both government‑funded initiatives and industry collaborations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide domain‑level HPC expertise for engineering and CFD projects, translating computational requirements into efficient HPC solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain HPC pipelines for large‑scale CFD simulations on the Frontier supercomputer.
- Optimize CFD codes and workflows for performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and software developers to integrate best practices in high‑performance computing.
- Develop documentation, training materials, and conduct workshops to upskill the HPC community.
- Ensure compliance with security, data‑integrity, and operational standards.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline, with proven experience in HPC environments and a strong background in computational fluid dynamics.
