In this role, you will be at the forefront of optimizing compute clusters and memory-intensive applications, bridging the gap between hardware capabilities and software performance.
You will play a critical role in managing, scaling, and troubleshooting complex HPC environments. Leveraging your proficiency in AWS cloud integration and Linux systems management, you will ensure our computational infrastructure meets the rigorous demands of modern data-intensive workloads. Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain large-scale HPC clusters and distributed computing environments.
- Optimize Linux kernel performance and tuning for memory-intensive high-performance workloads.
- Manage cloud-hybrid infrastructures, focusing on AWS integration and workload orchestration.
- Monitor system health, analyze performance bottlenecks, and implement proactive optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional software engineering teams to resolve complex system-level issues.
- Automate infrastructure management using scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and technical leadership for cluster operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Linux System Administration or HPC Engineering.
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, memory management (NUMA, virtual memory), and storage architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and hybrid-cloud deployments.
- Experience with HPC scheduling software and cluster management tools.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Perl for task automation.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to diagnose hardware/software interoperability issues.
