Job Description

Adecco is seeking a proactive HR Officer specializing in Employee Relations to join our client’s team in Singapore on a contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a professional HR function within a dynamic environment at the Singapore River, Central Region.

In this role you will partner with line managers and HR colleagues to manage employee relations casework, assist with investigations, and ensure consistent policy interpretation and application. You will maintain confidential case files, support fair and compliant decision making, and help communicate outcomes with clarity and empathy. The successful candidate will possess solid knowledge of Singapore Labour Law, privacy considerations, and a customer-focused mindset to foster a constructive and respectful workplace culture.

As an HR Officer, you will also support HR operations such as data entry in the HRIS, reporting on ER metrics, and coordinating with stakeholders on absence management and policy inquiries. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain employee relations case files, track progress, and ensure timely escalation where required.
  • Assist with investigations and disciplinary processes, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring fairness and confidentiality.
  • Provide guidance on policy interpretation and application to managers and employees.
  • Collaborate with HR partners and line managers to address workplace concerns and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data, generate ER reports, and monitor key metrics to inform decision making.
  • Support absence management, leave coordination, and attendance data accuracy.
  • Communicate outcomes and recommendations clearly, empathetically, and in line with privacy requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of ER processes and employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in employee relations or general HR, preferably in Singapore.
  • Solid knowledge of Singapore Labour Law and employment compliance requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office; comfortable with data entry and reporting.
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
