Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive site safety inspections to ensure full compliance with OSH regulations and Vallourec internal standards.
- Perform rigorous quality inspections on incoming raw materials and finished goods from suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance through regular audits and provide actionable feedback to improve quality outputs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCR), and safety incident logs.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to resolve quality issues and minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Assist in organizing safety training sessions and promoting a culture of 'Safety First' on the shop floor.
- Manage the documentation for HSE compliance and supplier certification renewals.
- Participate in root cause analysis for any identified quality defects or workplace safety hazards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Nitec/Higher Nitec in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industrial safety practices in Singapore.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and supplier auditing techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for reporting and data management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong rapport with suppliers.
- Willingness to travel locally to supplier facilities as required.
