We are seeking a dedicated HSE Officer with Green Book certification to ensure compliance with Malaysia's workplace safety regulations while supporting our growing manufacturing operations in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
As an integral part of our HSE team, you will develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies that protect our workforce and minimize operational risks. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with Malaysia OSHA regulations and relevant standards.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety audits across the manufacturing facility to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Manage environmental sustainability programs including waste management, pollution control, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports with root cause analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct HSE training sessions for employees, contractors, and management to ensure awareness and competency.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reports for regulatory compliance and internal audits.
- Coordinate with external regulatory bodies, safety agencies, and consultants to ensure certification requirements are met.
- Champion safety awareness initiatives and foster a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM, diploma, or degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Possession of Green Book certification (Jkkp) or equivalent from Malaysia's Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
- Prior working experience as HSE Officer or Safety Officer in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysia's Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, OSHA regulations, and related standards.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, hazard identification, and implementing control measures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct effective safety training and presentations.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications and HSE management software.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while supporting cross-functional teams.
