Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Liaise between physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Monitor bed availability and manage patient placement to optimize capacity.
- Facilitate communication with patients and families regarding treatment plans, schedules, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, updating electronic health records (EHR) in real time.
- Assist in resolving patient concerns or complaints, escalating issues as needed.
- Collaborate with case managers to arrange post-discharge services such as home care or rehabilitation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies throughout the patient stay.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in hospital coordination, patient services, or clinical administration.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, hospital workflows, and patient safety standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino.
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if required.
