Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions using platforms such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Monitor and optimize VDI performance, availability, and security to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and capacity planning for virtual desktop environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to virtual desktops, applications, and user access.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VDI with enterprise systems and identity management solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for VDI architecture, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and IT colleagues on VDI best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop).
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation and management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Industry certifications (e.g., Citrix CCP-V, VMware VCP-DTM, Microsoft Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
