SBS Transit is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Executive to join our dynamic Infrastructure Operations team. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain hybrid infrastructure solutions to ensure optimal system performance and reliability
- Monitor infrastructure health, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime
- Develop and execute infrastructure security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and systems
- Collaborate with application development teams to integrate infrastructure requirements into project planning and deployment
- Conduct regular system audits, capacity planning, and performance tuning to support business growth
- Manage infrastructure incidents, problems, and changes using industry-standard ITSM practices
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance infrastructure capabilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members while maintaining comprehensive documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably within large-scale enterprise environments
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration, including Active Directory and DNS configurations
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and load balancers
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts and hybrid architecture design principles
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or VCP would be advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a team-oriented setting
