As an IT Security Engineer / System Engineer, you will be at the forefront of protecting our digital assets. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive network security architectures including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and remediate potential threats across the network and applications.
- Lead incident response activities, perform forensic analysis, and ensure swift recovery from security breaches.
- Develop, document, and enforce IT security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with ISO 27001 and industry best practices.
- Oversee the administration, patching, and secure configuration of servers (Windows Server and Linux) and endpoint devices.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the DevOps lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM platforms, proactively hunting for threats and anomalies.
- Provide technical guidance and cybersecurity awareness training to employees across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in IT security engineering and/or system administration.
- Strong expertise in network security technologies, including firewall management (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Proficient in managing and securing Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly advantageous.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage crises effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
