As a key member of our IT team, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments to identify vulnerabilities, implement robust security measures, and respond swiftly to any security incidents. Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and threats in real-time to ensure the integrity of banking systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs to protect network infrastructure.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify potential risks.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks in alignment with ISO and PCI-DSS standards.
- Manage incident response plans and coordinate with internal teams during security breaches or emergencies.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to recommend proactive security improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to staff regarding security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in IT security, network security, or a related role within the banking or financial industry.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security principles.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting to management.
