Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain data centre hardware including servers, storage systems, and networking devices.
  • Perform routine hardware upgrades, patches, and firmware updates to ensure system integrity.
  • Provide first‑ and second‑level support for end‑user incidents via ticketing system, phone, and in‑person assistance.
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, mobile device, and peripheral issues efficiently.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and related directories.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and knowledge base articles for future reference.
  • Assist in the deployment of new workstations, imaging, and configuration of standard software stacks.
  • Participate in after‑hours support rotations and contribute to disaster recovery drills as required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, data centre operations, or help‑desk environments.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Proficiency in networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and basic routing/switching.
  • Hands‑on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and endpoint management tools.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with a customer‑service oriented mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team.
