Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-line technical support for end-users regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot desktop computers, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
  • Monitor and perform routine maintenance on server hardware, network switches, and security appliances.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security configurations within Active Directory and Office 365 environments.
  • Execute regular data backups and disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity.
  • Document technical processes, common issue resolutions, and system inventories in the knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new IT infrastructure projects and system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity best practices.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in an IT Support or Helpdesk role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, MS Office 365, and PC hardware.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi) and basic firewall management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA are highly preferred.
