Quality Confinement Home Sabah in Kota Kinabalu is seeking a skilled Jururawat (Staff Nurse) to join our team. You will provide high-quality postnatal care to mothers and newborns in a warm, supportive environment.
This full-time position offers a competitive monthly salary of RM 1,700 – RM 2,500, plus opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities
- Provide round-the-clock nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns, including monitoring vital signs, wound care, and feeding support.
- Assist with infant hygiene, bathing, umbilical cord care, and immunisation schedules.
- Educate mothers on breastfeeding techniques, newborn care, and postnatal recovery exercises.
- Maintain accurate medical records and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising physician.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in the confinement home.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop individualised care plans.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to new mothers and their families.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing (recognised by the Malaysian Nursing Board).
- Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) and registration with the Malaysian Nursing Board.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in postnatal or maternity care.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Compassionate, patient, and culturally sensitive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an added advantage.
