Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key accounts including hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience stores, and wholesale distributors across Selangor.
  • Develop and execute joint business plans (JBPs) with Modern Trade partners to drive volume, share, and profitability.
  • Negotiate trade terms, promotions, and placement agreements to maximise brand presence and ROI.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure seamless order fulfilment and in-store execution.
  • Prepare and present regular account performance reports, forecasts, and revenue analysis to senior management.
  • Resolve operational issues and customer complaints promptly to maintain high service levels.
  • Attend trade shows, category reviews, and client meetings to strengthen relationships and uncover upselling opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in key account management, modern trade, or B2B sales within the FMCG/food industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing large-format retail accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; knowledge of Mandarin or other dialects is an advantage.
