In this pivotal role, you will serve as the technical authority for data strategy, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and robust, scalable technical implementations.
You will lead the end-to-end data lifecycle—from discovery and conceptual modeling to the final delivery of high-performance architectural solutions. We are looking for a strategic thinker who excels at creating detailed ERDs and flow diagrams, possesses deep expertise in modern cloud and on-premise data stacks, and thrives in a collaborative environment with high-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Define and drive the enterprise data strategy, including data governance, integration, and security standards.
- Design scalable, high-performance data architectures that support both transactional and analytical workloads.
- Create and maintain comprehensive data models, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), and complex data flow documentation.
- Lead data discovery initiatives to identify business opportunities and optimize existing data assets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior data engineers and developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and best practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews to ensure alignment with performance, scalability, and budget requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or advanced data engineering roles.
- Proven expertise in designing complex ERDs and data schemas using tools like Erwin, Lucidchart, or Visio.
- Deep understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and Cloud Data Warehousing solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT pipeline design and modern data integration patterns.
- Strong background in data governance, data quality frameworks, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, Data Privacy Act of 2012).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
