Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and deposition materials with strong attention to detail.
- Maintain organized matter files, e-filing, and document management across multiple practice areas.
- Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors to facilitate smooth case progression.
- Assist with discovery requests, document production, and review of confidential information in compliance with firm policies.
- Manage docket deadlines and ensure timely submissions to state and federal courts; track procedural requirements.
- Support timekeeping and billing processes by accurately entering hours and expenses for assigned matters.
- Foster a professional client experience by handling inquiries, routing calls, and maintaining a courteous, responsive communication flow.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or related role in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; paralegal certificate a plus.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and e-filing procedures across federal and state courts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, case management systems, and document management platforms; familiarity with Westlaw or LexisNexis is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize under tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
