Huayu KJ Supply & Leasing Corp is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in Bonifacio Global City. As our in-house Legal Counsel, you will serve as the primary legal advisor, ensuring the company operates within the boundaries of Philippine law while protecting our corporate interests, assets, and reputation.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, including leasing agreements, supply chain contracts, and vendor partnerships. You will be instrumental in identifying potential legal risks, developing compliance frameworks, and providing pragmatic, business-focused solutions to complex legal challenges. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate governance, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts and leasing agreements to protect company interests.
- Manage corporate legal documentation, including board resolutions, secretarial records, and regulatory filings.
- Represent the company in negotiations with external partners, vendors, and government agencies.
- Monitor and analyze changes in legislation that may impact business operations and provide strategic guidance.
- Handle dispute resolution and manage litigation matters in coordination with external legal counsel.
- Conduct legal due diligence for potential business projects and expansions.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited law school in the Philippines.
- Current member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) in good standing.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a corporate legal department or a reputable law firm.
- Strong background in contract law, labor law, and corporate secretarial practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professional ethics, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in both English and Filipino, both written and oral.
