Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on corporate matters, including business transactions, contracts, and regulatory compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate policies
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian laws, regulations, and industry standards across all business operations
- Advise on corporate governance matters and support board-level decision-making processes
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with business activities and strategic initiatives
- Liaise with external legal counsel, government agencies, and regulatory bodies as required
- Support business development efforts by providing legal input on new ventures and opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university with honors
- Qualified to practice law in Malaysia with a valid practicing certificate
- Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate or commercial law
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian legal framework, including contract law, companies act, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
