Are you a proactive legal professional looking to make a tangible impact? Hot Palette is seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to join our growing team in the heart of Singapore’s Central Region. In this pivotal role, you will act as a trusted advisor to our business stakeholders, ensuring that our commercial operations are legally sound, risk-aware, and aligned with our strategic goals.

As our Legal Counsel, you will manage a diverse portfolio encompassing contract lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, intellectual property protection, and corporate risk mitigation. You will not just be a legal advisor; you will be a business partner, providing practical, commercial-minded solutions that enable Hot Palette to innovate while maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance. You will also serve as the primary liaison between our internal teams and external counsel across the Group.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including service contracts, vendor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Provide expert legal advice to business units regarding regulatory compliance and statutory requirements.
  • Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademark filings and patent protection strategies.
  • Identify, assess, and manage legal and operational risks, providing actionable mitigation strategies to senior management.
  • Coordinate with and oversee external legal counsel on specialized legal matters, litigation, or cross-border issues.
  • Develop and implement internal legal policies, processes, and training to ensure company-wide compliance.
  • Support corporate secretarial functions and governance projects to ensure adherence to local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent qualification recognized for practice in Singapore.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally in a corporate in-house setting or a reputable law firm.
  • Strong working knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, and corporate compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to translate complex legal jargon into clear, practical, and business-focused advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong sense of professional ethics and integrity.
