Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of corporate governance frameworks and compliance programs across the Group.
- Provide preliminary legal advice and support to various internal business units on operational matters.
- Liaise with external legal counsel on litigation matters, disputes, and specialized legal projects.
- Ensure the company remains compliant with the Companies Act, MACC Act, and other relevant Malaysian regulations.
- Maintain and organize legal documentation, corporate records, and the Group’s contract database.
- Assist in preparing board papers and supporting corporate secretarial functions as required.
- Monitor and update the management on changes in legislation that may impact the automotive industry.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- At least 1 to 3 years of working experience in a legal firm or an in-house legal department.
- Solid understanding of Malaysian corporate law, contract law, and compliance standards.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
- High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
