Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix-based server environments for WOG agencies.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex system issues.
- Execute regular system patching, security hardening, and performance tuning to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Manage and support network configurations and related applications within a Unix ecosystem.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ansible.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor system health and respond to incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Linux/Unix System Administration.
- Proven expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Ubuntu server environments.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security principles.
- Relevant certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) or LPIC are highly preferred.
- Experience working within government-linked projects or WOG infrastructure is a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system maintenance.
