Job Description
Novolyte Technologies is seeking a detail oriented Logistics Officer to strengthen our supply chain in Kulim, Kedah. In this role, you will coordinate daily logistics activities to ensure on time, cost efficient delivery of materials and finished goods, while safeguarding inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies. You will also participate in daily inventory reconciliation and root cause analysis for stock variances. This role offers exposure to modern tech enabled logistics platforms that support data driven decision making.
Key responsibilities include coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, selecting transport modes and carriers, negotiating rates, and tracking shipment status from pickup to delivery. You will collaborate with procurement, production, warehousing, quality, and customer service teams to balance demand with capacity, optimize routes, and minimize delays. You will maintain accurate records in our ERP inventory systems, generate performance metrics, and implement process improvements that enhance reliability and cost control.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and data driven, with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring on time, cost efficient deliveries
- Plan and optimize transportation routes; select carriers and negotiate rates
- Monitor shipment status using ERP and inventory systems; resolve issues and delays
- Maintain accurate inventory records; conduct regular cycle counts
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and warehousing to align demand and capacity
- Prepare and analyze logistics KPIs and reports for management
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies
- Support process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor degree in logistics, supply chain, operations, or related field
- 1-3 years experience in logistics or warehouse coordination
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, ERP systems, and MS Excel
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work cross functionally in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Detail oriented with focus on accuracy and process improvement
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities
